NOTE: BE SURE TO CHECK THE CANCELLATION POLICY OF THE MOTEL WHEN YOU MAKE RESERVATIONS. MANY MOTELS IN THE AREA HAVE FROM A 10 DAY TO 30 DAY CANCELLATION NOTICE POLICY. IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL, YOU WILL STILL BE CHARGED IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE TIME LIMIT IN THEIR POLICY.

Most all folks reserved their rooms for next year before leaving this year, but as of 9-17-11, TMR had one cottage available to rent. (cottages have 2BR with 2 full beds in each BR.)
You can get your name on the waiting list for a motel room, as we usually have some emergency.

The Corps of Engineers may not be taking reservations for the Corps campsites, but TMR has a few campsites of their own in front of the Restaurant (on grass with shade) that may be reserved, for the rate of $16.00 per night. You can call them at: 417-273-4444.

OTHER AREA MOTELS CLOSE BY

The Apple Creek Cabins at: 417-273-4932, is the closest backup, just a little over 1 mile away (paved) and just across the bridge, somewhat rustic.

The Biltmore, a good resort, is a little over 5 miles away on good paved road, phone 1-888-777-8964 for reservations. Several MSTA'ers have stayed here before, they have nice cabins at good rates. You can check out their website at: http://www.biltmoreresort.com

If you have trouble finding a place to stay, please give us a call at 417-926-3075, and we'll do our best to find you a place.

If you have a room or cabin booked at TMR or elsewhere, and would like to share it to split the cost, let us know and we'll try to find you a room mate.

We sincerely hope you can make it, but if you have a reservation and know you can't be there for some reason, please let them know you need to cancel as soon as possible, so they won't charge your credit card, and someone else can have the room.
